Black Tiger Cement is produced in GSCL’s state of the art, fully integrated manufacturing unit in Meghalaya. The Plant is equipped with the latest engineering technology from the world leader, Thyssenkrupp, Germany, making it one of the most modern and the best integrated cement Plants of East India.
Located in the picturesque Jaintia Hills of Meghalaya, India, the manufacturing unit is equipped with the most efficient close circuit raw mill with strong capability separator which facilitates uniform particle size distribution of cement in each bag. This not only enables fresh cement at the end point, faster setting time but also faster construction, adding up to big savings on money.
The cement produced here, passes through rigorous quality checks at numerous levels, ensuring end users receive 100% pure cement with great compressive strength.
Black Tiger Cement produced at the Plant is available in three popular grades – the PPC Blended Cement, the OPC 43 Grade and the OPC 53 Grade – each manufactured through the state of the art, energy efficient and sustainable production process which is also backed by advanced German technology from Thyssenkrupp.

Central Control Room
The production process is monitored through the Plant’s Central Control Room (CCR). The CCR unit is equipped with a state-of-the-art automation system, supplied by M/s Schneider Electric. The Unit uses the latest operating systems required for the Operations and Process Control, ensuring consistency in product quality. There are different computer stations provided for close surveillance. A high temperature camera is used to monitor the kilns while a hot-shell scanner monitors the kiln operations.
Captive Power Plant
The Company has also invested in its own captive power generation facility which not only ensures uninterrupted production of the finest quality cement but also focuses on clean energy.
Packing Plant & Rotary Packer
Two Automatic Rotary Packer Machines are equipped with truck loaders from M/s FLSmidth & Co., Denmark, for automatic packaging and loading of optimum weight of cement in every OPC and PPC cement bag, simultaneously.
